President elect Obama made the statement that the economy faces challeges like never beofore and that swift action is necessary—I don’t really se how we can save this sinking ship. The dameage is done and it is horrible–I’m just glad that I know how to grow food and that I know how to bake my own bread–and that I stocked up like crazy. Anyone who is smart now will stock up on everything-from dried to canned fruits and vegetables to bags of rice and beans. In a depression food prices rise and rise and no one can buy it any longer because it’s too expensive–there will be a time when Americans learn what real hunger is……there are too many who don’t know that. It will take a long time and it will be a slow and steep recovery–but it won’t be anytime soon I believe…..there will be many more people to lose their jobs and house and home—we’re not at rock bottom yet……so stock up and stock up good…..
