We make ethanol.

And how are they going to do that? Are they going to get rid of their precious Unins so they can do those jobs for less money and keep them here in the states? Call me when that happens! Hello? What? Hell froze over?
Diane
We still manufacture all kinds of aircraft (helicopters, commercial airliners, fighter jets, bombers, etc.) When it comes to aviation, USA is the leader.
Clifford
Yes, be conscious of what you buy. Also, buy local produce, became a locavore, it’s healthier!

There’s still tons of stuff made there– but some of that stuff also has foreign parts.
Stuff we build here–
- Planes (Boeing)
- Cars (GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, BMW, Mercedes)
- Heavy Machinery – Catepillar
- Chips/Electronics – Intel, AMD, TI
What we need to focus on is trade policy– so that countries that sell here also buy from the USA.

Americans are putting them selves out of work , because they think they should be making 25.00 a hour , while building JUNK
look at ford motor company . the unions demanded that the auto worker make 18.00 + a hour , and then turn around and build JUNK . that’s right i said it JUNK .
Toyota . builds it better and cheaper . why wouldn’t i and other Americans buy them
look at electronics also . there isn’t a American company that comes anywhere near the quality of some of the Asian makers
heck even the throw away Chinese made DVD player you buy at walmart is better then the 200.00 DVD players made here in the US

People who like to blame this all on the unions couldn’t be MORE WRONG, I worked at several NON-UNION job shops as a tool maker and they all went out of business, THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH UNIONS, the simple fact is that US manufacturing can not compete with countries that have workers making 5 dollars a day, the corporations are going to go wherever they can make the most $$ and that is overseas.
If anyone is to blame it’s the shorted sightedness of US corporations and the constant need to boost stock prices. These people have no vision for longterm profitability.
