Investment in Mortgage mess?

Flattruth asked:

I believe this mortgage and finance mess has caused a lot of people’s credit ratings to nosedive. Since this must be a big consumer base now, I need to know what’s the best, low risk way to invest and profit from them.

Profit from this mess? I would say through foreclosures, but then you’d need some buyers in this market.

When all these properties are dumped on the market and prices are depressed then start investing in real estate and REITs.

There is no low risk way to invest and profit off those who have blown their credit rating. That is why their interest rates go sky high when once they have. Bad credit is always high risk when you are dealing with people not inclined to pay their bills, or not smart enough to know they have outspent their earnings.
