OK, the Obamassiah has just proposed a $1K rebate for consumers which will be financed by a tax on oil co.s.

mikey asked:

I know it’s just election year pandering, but PLZ!! The oil co.s make a profit of about 9 cents/gallon. The Federal Government gets tax revenues of 18 cents/gal and it doesn’t explore for it, drill for it, refine it, transport it or sell it. So who’s getting the REAL windfall?

Oil companies are just going to pass that tax on to you and I. $1000? That’s going to be 50 cents a gallon. That means I’ll drive less. That means I’ll use less gas. That means I’ll be paying less taxes on gas. Barry Hussein is an idiot.

Riiight. And the oil companies wouldn’t dare raise their prices to offset that tax would they…

We’re talking about the same guy who voted FOR the 2005 Energy Bill that gave Exxon and the oil companies that big tax cut aren’t we?

it”s a better idea than giving these oil rich companies more amarican land so that they can drill for oil and continue to stuff thier pockets . it have been report the oil companies have made a profit of 16 billions dollars this year .why should the american peoples keep making these oil rich peoples richer ? wake the hell up yamster but you probbly don’t own a car yet .

You got it my friend. With government it is always some one else’s fault indeed. What will that do really? oh yeah a nextra $1,000.00 in my pocket … and he will do that in hopes that people would spend it and kick start the economy … huh wait! isn;t that what Bush did and Obama criticized it before ligning up with everybody and agreed?
Yeah piss off teh Oil co and they will find a way to raise the price at the pump. Obama truly thinks he is some sort of Magc wizard and that everybody will drop to their knees in front of him. He has NO IDEA who he is screwing with.

you don’t really think congress would cut their own spending to help us poor working stiffs.

Some folks are crazy enough to think we won’t be paying it right back to the oil companies in the form of higher prices at the pump. It doesn’t take a financial wizard to see who pays for any change in the bottom line, or does it?

I am not in favor of any more tax rebates. They fail to stimulate the economy, which is the purported goal.

I AM in favor of suspending the $30 BILLION in tax breaks that the oil companies got from the Dubya Gump/Darth Cheney crime cartel. Especially in light of the RECORD BREAKING PROFITS they are showing for the second quarter of 08. The whole country is going to hell and they simply do not care one bit.

I am in favor of using that money to bring down the obscene federal budgetary deficit.
